Westwood Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice.
Private fees apply to all standard & telehealth consultations, except for those patients with a Medicare card who meet the bulk billing eligibility criteria.
Health Assessments and Care Plans (excluding Mental Health Treatment Plans) continue to be bulk billed for all patients.
BULK BILLING ELIGIBILITY
The following patients with a Medicare card will continue to be bulk billed for standard consultations:
- New or Existing Patients 15 years of age or under.
- Those with a Healthcare Card or Commonwealth Pension Card (excludes white Seniors Card).
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander patients.
Where a “gap” fee applies, patients are required to pay the full amount on the day of consultation (payment via debit/credit card or EFT only). For patients with Medicare, we will process your Medicare claim instantaneously and the Medicare rebate will be refunded to your nominated bank account, typically within 24 hours.
